Whether you are brand new to cutting glass or wanting to improve your existing technique there are a surprising number of tricks and skills to learn. You will practice the skills to cut and break simple to tricky shapes successfully. Then you can practice and practice to gain confidence.
Glass for this cutting session is included in the cost. Tools will be available to use.
During session one you will decide on your project for the foiling sessions.
The end of session one is the best time to select and purchase the glass for your foiling project. Suzi Brown Glass has a fantastic range to choose from. Eftpos and cash accepted.
About sessions 2 & 3 – copper foiling
In these sessions you will make a Beginner Copper Foil Project. You will learn how to work to a pattern to make a stained glass item using the Copper Foil technique. You will use your glass cutting skills and learn foiling and soldering.
You can pick a beginner’s project from a selection of patterns, depending on your glass cutting skill level, and your level of confidence. You may even like to select a pre-cut bevel project for these sessions.
The main thing is to keep your first project simple so that you can learn all the stages and get to take the finished item home.
